Magnit IFRS net profit triples to 11.12 bln rbl in Oct–Dec 2020
MOSCOW, Feb 4 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian retailer Magnit almost tripled on the year to 11.117 billion rubles in October–December 2020 from 4.015 billion rubles in the same period of 2019, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Total revenue of the company went up by 10.6% to 407.227 billion rubles, and retail revenue grew by 10.7% to 395.16 billion rubles. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) jumped 43.2% to 28.592billion rubles, with the EBITDA margin rising to 7% from 5.4%.
In 2020, the net profit of Magnit more than doubled to 37.781 billion rubles from 17.108 billion rubles. Total revenue rose 13.5% on the year to 1.554 trillion rubles in 2020 with retail revenue growing 13.5% to 1.510 trillion rubles, and EBITDA rose 31.6% to 109.410 billion rubles. The EBITDA margin went up to 7% from 6.1%.
